May Relieve Nasal Congestion

As we all know, hot water creates steam (as does any heated beverage). Holding a cup and taking a deep inhale could help loosen clogged sinuses and clear a pathway so you’re not one of those “mouth breathers.”

Not that anyone should judge you for that, but if you’re congested are it’s likely you’re also not getting enough oxygen between sets or during cardio, and ignoring that is something we will definitely judge you on (should you ignore such a flagrant potential for economic-loss of gains), since you need a lot of oxygen to perform at your athletic peak.

Get this. One 2008 study showed that a hot drink like tea provided nearly rapid relief from a runny nose. The study also found that the hot drink was more effective than the exact same drink (but at room temperature).

2. May Aid Digestion

Drinking water helps to keep you regulated and digested. It’s why you might feel bloated on those days where all you’ve had to drink is coffee (not speaking from personal experience, of course). How it works is that water moving through your stomach and intestines boosts the body’s ability to eliminate waste.

Some suggest that hot water is actually does a better job activating the digestive system. The reasoning behind this is that hot water is able to dissolve and dissipate the food you’ve eaten that your body might have trouble digesting. In other words, next time you cave for that combo meal (of McDonald’s McDoubles, a large curly fry and Jamocha shake from Arby’s, and Beto’s Breakfast Burrito) then just down some hot water and it’ll cleanse you of your sins.

One 2016 study showed that warm water may have strong benefits with intestinal movements. Granted, this was done specifically with individuals who’d had gas expulsion surgery but the dots could be connected.

3. May Improve Central Nervous System

Not getting enough water, hot or cold, can negatively affect how well your nervous system functions. This, in turn will likely affect your mood and concentration.

Research from 2019 has shown that drinking water can improve your central nervous system activity, as well as mood.

So, for the sake of your peers, stay hydrated. Because you’re not you when you’re thirsty; you’re Karen. And nobody wants that, not even Karen (can you imagine the catastrophe that’d come from a karen vs karen death match? Managers everywhere would feel the recumbent shockwave, no one would be safe).

4. Keeps You Hydrated

The evidence is a little mixed on whether hot or cold water is optimal for rehydration. Some studies say cold is better while others have shown it’s possible that cold water really only takes the W when actually in the middle of strenuous exercise. For general hydration, some believe that because your body needs to warm up cold water, doing that beforehand makes it easier and more efficient to just drink warm water.

Also, drinking water in general is a pretty good way to stay hydrated. Just, you know, throwing that out there. And if you’re already kind of dehydrated, one thing you can do is add a pinch of himalayan rock salt to your water to help your electrolyte balance.

Alternatively, Bucked Up has himalayan rock salt in its formula for hydration, so you could just forego the water altogether and sip on a nice steaming mug of caramel apple flavored pre.

Don’t actually forego the water…just drink it after your pre (because, priorities).

5. Improves Circulation

Optimal blood flow affects everything from your blood pressure to your risk of cardiovascular issues. But for those of us who take our training seriously, optimal blood flow is even more important. It plays a massive role in the quality of pump when lifting, which can impact your gains more than just how many likes you got on the selfie post.

Taking a warm bath is similar in a way to vasodilators (such as Citrulline, found in Bucked Up), in that it helps your circulatory organs (arteries and veins) expand so that blood is carried more effectively throughout the body.

Although more evidence is needed, drinking hot water may have a similarly positive effect. In other words, it’s very possible that drinking pre-workout warm-to-hot may actually boost the power of the already potent Bucked Up surging through your veins.

Warmth Flavors (NEW Bucked Up + WOKE AF)

Let’s be real, some flavors simply wouldn’t be tasty if sipped warm. Rocket Pop, for example, needs to be dry scooped because…Murica. Or any of our lemonade flavors are ideal when drinking with a couple ice cubes on the front porch as a hot sun beats down.

It only makes sense then that we’d provide you with more flavor options. Ones that perfectly complement drinking Bucked Up (or WOKE AF) warm.

Chai Spice Flavor (Hot Pre-Workout)

Before there were pumpkin spice lattes and yoga pants, there was the chai spice latte. The ultimate in pensive comfort. Sipped on over a book and gazing out the window, while the person allowed its contemplative benefits imbue them with wisdom.

Now, you too can quell the storms for a while. Prepare in peace, and enjoy the zero sugar beverage as you gaze into the incoming storm. The tempest of training to failure, increasing intensity, getting a solid pump, and focusing on the gains to follow.*

Caramel Apple Flavor (Hot Pre-Workout)

Like those delicious suckers, just without the sugar, the risk of an insulin spike to crash, or pulling out a tooth.

Plus, unlike the suckers, this caramel apple cider packs a punch of focus, endurance, energy, hydration, and recovery.

Head on over to the site to try out our hot flavors today! Read this short blog about women’s pre workout energy!

If you have ever considered drinking a nice, steaming mug of pre-workout, and find yourself wondering if this temperature shift could be beneficial, then you’ve stumbled across the perfect article.

Sure, dry scooping is hardcore, and we all know that there’s something truly invigorating about a perfectly chilled Bucked Up pre-workout.

But what about those times when you kind of just want to relax and contemplate all those PRs you’re about to attain?

Well, good news.

[320,19932
4727175,36329
post-3579","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-guides","category-life-style","tag-pre-workout","tag-supplements
["GET
